Link is completely blind… but he is a little more magically attuned than previous or future incarnations, so being blind isn’t a total disadvantage for him. Yes I’ma making him a CASTER wooo.
There was a previous war - one that he did take part it, but wasn’t exactly the center of attention. This war wasn’t against Ganondorf or anything, but was probably against a neighboring country that wanted Hyrule lands for selfish reasons.
Zelda is a legitimate queen here. She’s actually a little more physical than her previous incarnations. GIVE ME A SWORD kind of deal.
Ganon is probably coming out of a previous seal of some kind… either way it’s been a long time since he’s seen the normal sun, and he’s kina pissed.
